Upon introduction, the ES is equipped with a standard 3.5-liter, V6, 272-horsepower engine that achieves 19-mpg in the city and 27-mpg on the highway. A 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard. The 2009 ES is a carryover from 2008.
